Earphones Award Winner 'When All is Said'

Performed by Niall Buggy and produced by Samuel at Heavy Entertainment. In AudioFile magazine's own words: "Buggy's Irish brogue, pacing, and emotion are impeccable as the listener is transported to the bar stool next to Maurice. We hear the love in his voice as he talks of Sadie, rage as he recalls childhood bullying, regret for failures as a father and husband, and humor and wonder at the amazing gift of life through it all. Be prepared to laugh, cry, and carry Maurice with you long after you finish the story."

New York Festival winner 'Message from the Moon'

Samuel was the sound engineer for this Christmas programme for BBC Radio 3's Between the Ears: "On Christmas Eve 1968, as the crew of Apollo 8 orbited the Moon, they read extracts from Genesis live on TV to tens of millions of people around the world. Later, they would also capture – by accident – a photograph of the Earth rising above the lunar landscape: Earthrise. Both events would have a profound and influential effect that continues to this day."

Featuring the music from Hannah Peel's composition, Mary Casio: Journey to Cassiopeia, it was produced by Richard Hollingham.

"I’ve worked with Sam for a number of years and for good reason - he’s brilliant at what he does. Sam's work on Boffin Media’s radio programmes has included the award winning Before I Go and Women with the Right Stuff for BBC World Service. His technical contribution to Before I Go was specifically highlighted and commended in a Spectator review of the programme. More recently, Sam has been the studio manager for Moonbase 2029, Would You Go to Bed with Me and Trust Me I’m a Scientist (all BBC Radio 4) and for our ongoing Space Boffins podcast. He is professional, talented and is a creative addition to any sound recording - particularly where music is involved. "
